Ladies and Gentlemen,
I give you Yoga Hosers.
I’ve been doing yoga steadily on and off (which…doesn’t make sense) for about 5 wonderful years. For the past year, it’s been more ON than OFF, which is why failing at a yoga pose you know you can somewhat do is just peachy as hell and definitely not at all a huge bummer.
Good morning my beautiful kittens, how are we all doing today? Good? Terrible? Doesn’t matter because I feel fabulous and wonderful and happy and everything is about me. Now that I’ve insulted everyone and come off as a douche canoe, I’m here to absolutely GUSH over FabFitFun.
If you have no idea what this is, strap in my lovelies and BECOME AWARE.
I’ve been in an angry shit mood for a bit now, with hints of goodish/funish/okayish moments in between the garbage ones. These funks happen every once in a while, but they usually go away without any public embarrassment aka crying on the bus or making up bullshit fights with my husband in my head and then being angry at him upon him being in my presence. Life is great when you’re ability to chill has lost its fleek.
Over this weekend, there was a festival happening in Edmonton called SkirtsaFire run by the ever so cool Annette Loiselle. I had never heard of it until I saw on The Twitter that my favourite radio station, Sonic, had retweeted the event. The event, which is in its third year, is about empowering and celebrating women in the arts. I was 100% sold when I saw there was going to be yoga in the morning at an art gallery.
Heck yes, sign me up.
I have been doing yoga on and off for about 5 years. In September, I joined an actual studio, Sattva School of Yoga, instead of going to the yoga classes at the gym. Which I quit. Who needs a gym membership when your own condominium has a free gym! The yoga studio I joined is warm and friendly and insanely popular. Good, I like to fall on my face in front of an audience. From September to mid-November, I was going a lot. Mid-November hits and I couldn’t go anymore due to some health reasons. But now that that’s all cleared up, I’m back.
