Being that I work in ALL things fitness-y and work out a lot, I enjoy wearing fitness clothing basically exclusively. Which is just the best. Tonight, I decided to check out a local watering clothing hole and try some shit on.
This morning, I went for a run as I’m training for my next 5k on May 13th with the MEC race series. Yeah, I need to train for that shit as I’m horrible at cardio/running/anything that involves going faster than a walking pace. I mean, I WAS horrible at all of this until my major influx of fitnessing since last August.
Tonight, Xtend Barre hosted a Ladies Night moving screening of the 2016 documentary Embrace. If you haven’t seen it or heard of it before, you need to watch it. This goes for both males and females. Taryn Brumfitt goes on a self love journey around the world talking to women about body image and how female bodies are portrayed in the media.

And yet, I still believe them. Don’t we all? This is my review of the relatively new business here in YEG called Xtend Barre. Come with me now on this magical journey in which I cannot feel my legs today, but damn is it a good pain.
I’ve been doing yoga steadily on and off (which…doesn’t make sense) for about 5 wonderful years. For the past year, it’s been more ON than OFF, which is why failing at a yoga pose you know you can somewhat do is just peachy as hell and definitely not at all a huge bummer.
Well this seems to be a new segment I’m doing on my blog since people, you know, suck. Couples working out together can either be amazing or a really REALLY bad idea. I have worked out with Husband Graeme twice which has been fine because we do our own thing. If he were telling me what to do, telling me I was doing something wrong, and pushing me to work harder, we would still be fine. You know why? Because constructive criticism is good!
