How I was outrun by a 70 year old man…who was walking.

Apparently the runs I do are full of blog worthy mentionings. Mentionings is not a word. Being outrun by someone is definitely something I have been used to my entire life. I will never win a marathon, hell, I will never win a 5K. I like my running like I like everything else in my life: slow as shit without exerting too much energy. I hate trying.

Running, a live tweeting event.

This morning, I went for a run as I’m training for my next 5k on May 13th with the MEC race series. Yeah, I need to train for that shit as I’m horrible at cardio/running/anything that involves going faster than a walking pace. I mean, I WAS horrible at all of this until my major influx of fitnessing since last August.

Embrace your body.

Tonight, Xtend Barre hosted a Ladies Night moving screening of the 2016 documentary Embrace. If you haven’t seen it or heard of it before, you need to watch it. This goes for both males and females. Taryn Brumfitt goes on a self love journey around the world talking to women about body image and how female bodies are portrayed in the media.

Ever been to a fashion show before? Me neither!

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of attending the 25th season of  Western Canada Fashion Week (WCFW) with my friend Aga, owner of Herbologie. I thought to myself, “yes, I will go to this and blog about all the fashion things!” only to realize, I know nothing about fashion. I love fashion, it’s the number one thing I pin on Pinterest which makes me basically a veteran in the Fashion World, right? I love Project Runway, especially the junior edition because it’s fun to see children cry work hard at something they truly love and talk about how they don’t know who David Bowie is.

So, I thought I would write about some tips about going to a fashion show!
